Let us continue on our journey through this 32nd chapter of Devariym:
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 32:7-14
Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you. 8 When EL ELYON divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Yisra’el. 9 For YAHUAH’S portion is his people; Ya`aqov is the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings: 12 So YAHUAH alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. 13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; 14 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape.
The first thing we notice in this passage is that YAHUAH’S portion is not the adamah qodesh (קֹדֶשׁ אֲדָמָה) or Holy Land. See Zakaryahu (Zechariah) 2:12. No, YAHUAH’S portion is his people.
Which people? Does this passage reference the Yahudiym as the singular heirs of the promise? Does this passage reference the nation of Israel as the apple of his eye? No, it doesn’t. This passage references the children of Yisra’el, for YAHUAH’S portion is his people; Ya’aqov is the lot of his inheritance.
Before we move on, we must consider this word Yisra’el (יִשְׂרָאֵל) (Strong's 3478). Take a look at the spelling: yod, shin, resh, aleph, lamed.
We have already seen it’s preliminary in the first part of this chapter, namely the word Yashar (יָשָׁר) (Strong's 3474), which means to be right, pleasant, prosperous; to go rightly, to take the straight path, to be upright or just. This word is the three letter root of the word we call Yisra’el.
However, in using the same pronunciation guide we find in the root, we discover that the true pronunciation of this word is more likely Yashar’el, which means not he that wrestles with YAH, but rather, the upright, just, or straight in YAH. Understanding these words, we can now see what the book the Cepher Yashar is - it is the story of Yashar’el, the whole of the house and its journey to leave the captivity of Mitsrayim to come to the adamah qodesh (the Holy Land).
Now, Yashar’el is the name given to Ya’aqov when he accepts the blessing of YAH and the covenant which was given to Avraham, became an oath to Yitshaq, and a law unto Yashar’el. The children of Yashar’el, commonly called Yashar, become known as Yasharon. Let us find this now in the next verse in our sequence:
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 32:15
But Yasharon waxed fat, and kicked: you are waxen fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook ELOAH which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his yeshu’ah.
Well, let’s see. How did Yasharon forsake ELOAH, his maker?
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 32:16-20
They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. 17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to ELOAH; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. 18 Of the Rock that begat you, you are unmindful, and have forgotten EL that formed you. 19 And when YAHUAH saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. 20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
We have a list, do we not?
- Yasharon went after strange gods
- Yasharon went after abominations
- Yasharon provoked YAH to anger
- Yasharon sacrificed to devils
- Yasharon became unmindful of the Rock that begat them
- Yasharon forgot the EL that formed them
- Yasharon provoked the sons and daughters of YAHUAH
Of course, the history of scripture tells us that Yasharon did go after strange gods; they went after:
- Dagon, the fish god (see the Pope’s miter for an example of the priest’s hat signaling the worship of the fish god);
- Molech (by sacrificing infants in the fire);
- Ba’al, (by practicing the rituals of fertility, including the birth of the sun god on December 25, and the spring fertility rite in the name of Ishtar (Easter));
- Ishtar (Isis), the fertility queen of heaven;
- Tammuz, the son of Ishtar (by the eating of ham on the feast of the spring fertility rite).
And Yasharon went after abominations:
- homosexuality was accepted, Vayiqra (Lev.) 20:13;
- unclean animals were eaten as food, Devariym (Deut.) 14:3;
- transgenderism was practiced, Devariym (Deut.) 22:5;
- the wages of the whore and the homosexual prostitute were offered for vows in the temple, Devariym (Deut.) 23:18;
- children were passed through the fire to Molech Melekiym Sheniy (2 Kings) 16:3;
- high places were set up for false gods,
- Ashtoreth poles were set up and the gods of the Moabiym and the Ammoniym were worshipped, Melekiym Sheniy (2 Kings) 23:13;
- false balances were practiced, Mishlei (Proverbs) 11:1;
- they maintained perversion in their hearts, Mishlei (Proverbs) 11:20;
- they practiced lying lips, Mishlei (Proverbs) 12:22;
- they practiced wicked ways, Mishlei (Proverbs) 15:9;
- they were prideful, Mishlei (Proverbs) 16:5;
- their kings committed wickedness, Mishlei (Proverbs) 16:12;
- they condemned the just and justified the wicked, Mishlei (Proverbs) 17:5
Mishlei (Proverbs) 3:32
For the forward (luz – perverse) is abomination (toaybah) to YAHUAH: but his secret (sode) is with the righteous (yashariym).
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 32:21-52
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not EL; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. 22 For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn unto the lowest She’ol, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. 23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend my arrows upon them. 24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust. 25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs. 26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men: 27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and YAHUAH has not done all this. 28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. 29 O that they were wise, that they understood this; that they would consider their latter end! 30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and YAHUAH had shut them up? 31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 32 For their vine is of the vine of Cedom, and of the fields of Amorah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: 33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. 34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? 35 To me belongs vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. 36 For YAHUAH shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. 37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, 38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. 39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live forever. 41 If I whet my glittering sword, and my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my enemies, and will reward them that hate me. 42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. 43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
44 And Mosheh came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Husha the son of Nun. 45 And Mosheh made an end of speaking all these words to all Yisra’el: 46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this Torah. 47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Yarden to possess it.
48 And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh that selfsame day, saying, 49 Get you up into this mountain Avariym, unto mount Nevu, which is in the land of Mo’av, that is over against Yeriycho; and behold the land of Kena`an, which I give unto the children of Yisra’el for a possession: 50 And die in the mount whither you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aharon your brother died in Mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: 51 Because ye transgressed against me among the children of Yisra’el at the waters of Meriyvah-Qadesh, in the wilderness of Tsin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Yisra’el. 52 Yet you shall see the land before you; but you shall not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Yisra’el.
