One of the beauties of having transliterated the text to restore the actual names is that sometimes we come up with a nearly unpronounceable transliteration. This is the case with Artachshasta, formerly known as Artaxerxes (which had eventually become pronounceable). He is the one who gives a discussion worthy of separate consideration in Additions to Ecster.
Additions to Ecster (Esther) 13:1-6
The great king Artachshashta unto the princes and governors of a hundred and seven and twenty provinces from India unto Kush, and unto all our faithful subjects, greeting. 2 Many, the more often they are honoured with the great bounty of their gracious princes, the more proud they are waxen, 3 And endeavour to hurt not our subjects only, but not being able to bear abundance, do take in hand to practice also against those that do them good: 4 And take not only thankfulness away from among men, but also lifted up with the glorious words of lewd persons, that were never good, they think to escape the justice of ELOHIYM, that sees all things and hates evil. 5 Oftentimes also fair speech of those, that are put in trust to manage their friends' affairs, has caused many that are in authority to be partakers of innocent blood, and has enwrapped them in remediless calamities: 6 Beguiling with the falsehood and deceit of their lewd disposition the innocency and goodness of princes.
We begin here with the verse Many, the more often they are honoured with the great bounty of their gracious princes, the more proud they are waxen. Can anyone say Hollywood? How many people have made their fortune in Hollywood, selling their wares to the American people (and others around the world), and amassing huge piles of wealth, or great bounty as it is put in Additions, and then criticizing America and the very people who made them wealthy, and doing everything in their power to deny these very same people freedom, happiness and the right to make a living in favor of their deranged politics.
The next verse makes it clear that they do go after their own people, endeavoring to hurt them: And endeavour to hurt not our subjects only, but not being able to bear abundance, do take in hand to practice also against those that do them good: They take advantage of the freedom of speech protected by young Americans who serve to protect the nation, while calling them names and denouncing freedom of speech. They exploit violence and the use of firearms in random acts of stages murder, genocide, homicide, mass killing, etc., and then go on to denounce the private ownership of firearms. They use the freedoms of our market to obtain their wealth and then denounce our governance and work diligently to destroy the very market that made them successful.
And take not only thankfulness away from among men, but also lifted up with the glorious words of lewd persons, that were never good. Consider the reprobate community that is Hollywood. They defile the sacred altar of the spiritual body of MASHIACH with ever-increasing levels of lewdness, decadence, pornia and whoredom, being commended by like-minded practitioners, often who use the filthiest terms to laud each other. Yet, these people continue to gain abundance and the approval of the like-minded.
They think to escape the justice of ELOHIYM, that sees all things and hates evil. It is written that the fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of all wisdom. Yet, these of an abundant bounty have no fear of YAH.
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 10:12
And now, Yisra’el, what does YAHUAH ELOHAYCHA require of you, but to fear (yirah) YAHUAH ELOHAYCHA, to walk in all his ways (derek), and to love (ahav) him, and to serve (obed) YAHUAH ELOHAYCHA with all your heart (labe) and with all your soul (nefesh).
Tehilliym (Psalm) 111:10
The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of wisdom (chokmah): a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever.
Mishlei (Proverbs) 1:7
The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of knowledge (da’ath): but fools despise wisdom (chokmah) and instruction (musar).
Mishlei (Proverbs) 9:10
The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of wisdom (chokmah): and the knowledge (da’ath) of the holy (qadosh) is understanding (binah).
Tekhilaw chokmah v’yirah YAHUAH v’da’ath qodeshiym binah (in the Hebrew).
Artachshasta goes on to deliver a message to leaders of nations and kingdoms for the ages:
Additions to Ecster (Esther) 13:5-6
Oftentimes also fair speech of those, that are put in trust to manage their friends' affairs, has caused many that are in authority to be partakers of innocent blood, and has enwrapped them in remediless calamities: 6 Beguiling with the falsehood and deceit of their lewd disposition the innocency and goodness of princes.
Does this sound familiar with what we know about the world today? Are we involved in the partaking of innocent blood? Are we enwrapped in remediless calamities? Have our leaders been beguiled with falsehood and deceit, being beguiled by the lewd disposition of those who have been put in trust to manage their friends’ affairs?
These are the questions I leave you to ponder.
