Welcome to this week's Exclusive Insider's Update! This week we're going to take an inside look at the Mark of Qayin (Cain), what it is and what it means.
Bere'shiyth (Genesis) 4 provides us with the account of Havel's (Abel's) murder at the hand of his brother Qayin (Cain). Immediately after YAH dispenses with the punishment for this grievous act, Qayin tells Him that the punishment is more than he can bear. Qayin fears for his life, believing that anyone who finds him may kill him.
In verse 15 YAH provides the solution to Qayin's fears by setting a mark upon him, lest anyone finding him should kill him.
What was this mark that YAH placed on Qayin? Why would YAH protect him even after he slayed his brother? These questions and more are answered in this week's teaching with Dr. Pidgeon.
Despite the rebellion and sin of mankind, what we see from YAH is mercy upon mercy, patience and love. There are many examples of this mercy and love throughout all scripture. It's the very foundation of TORAH itself.
