Building a Hedge for the House of Yisra’el

Yekhezq’el (Ezekiel) 13:3-5

Thus says ADONAI YAHUAH; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4 O Yisra’el, your prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. 5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Yisra’el to stand in the battle in the day of YAHUAH.

This is a bit different than our last discussion on this issue.  Let us ask the question: how can we build a hedge for the house of Yisra’el to allow the house of Yisra’el to stand in the battle in the day of YAHUAH?

Consider the words of HAMASHIACH:

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:3-20

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see ELOHIYM. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of ELOHIYM. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a menorah; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Parashiym, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Let us continue with this concept (thanks here to Brad Scott).

Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 1:22

And ELOHIYM blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill מָלֵא the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

The word here for fill is the word מָלֵא malé (maw-lay') (Strong’s 4390) meaning to fill or (intransitively) be full of.  Interesting that this word reads as male in English.  The tedushah of this word is equally interesting, as it is the mem (מ) or water, the lamed (ל) or staff, and the aleph (א), the principal in the finite, i.e., the feminine, the masculine, and EL – a perfect description of the condition of wedlock.

Let’s take a moment to further consider this as a fractal.  The macro fractal here is ELOHIYM, often expressed as the Aleph (again, the principal in the finite, i.e., the Father and the Son sitting at His right hand also known as the keter or crown, and the da’ath or knowledge of YAH); the Shin (the masculine, also known as binah or understanding); and the Mem (the feminine, also known as chokmah or wisdom).  The mid-level fractal of ELOHIYM, therefore is wedlock, which is the very model of the Godhead in creation.

Consider again what is meant by the word to fill (malé) – not just to fill, but to fill by being fruitful and by multiplying – i.e., by completing the fractal with the bringing of life.

Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 2:24

Therefore shall a man (ish אּישׁ) leave עָזַב his father אָב and his mother אֵם, and shall cleave דָּבַק unto his woman (ishah נָשִׁים): and they shall be one (echad אֶחָד) flesh (besar בָּשָׂר).

So the relationship created in wedlock becomes one as a progenitor – that is, the flesh is united in the creation of progeny (children).

To fill, therefore, is to fill with life – i.e., the bringing of progeny, the multiplying of the species through wedlock which is the joining of a man, and a woman with the spirit of YAH.

Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 25:20-24

And Yitschaq was forty years old when he took את (eth)-Rivqah to be his woman, the daughter of Bethu’el the Syrian of Paddan Aram, the sister to Lavan the Syrian. 21 And Yitschaq intreated YAHUAH for his woman, because she was barren: and YAHUAH was intreated of him, and Rivqah his woman conceived. 22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of YAHUAH. 23 And YAHUAH said unto her, Two nations are in your womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from your belly; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. 24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

Here in verse 24 the word for fulfilled is malé.  Rivqah is fulfilled not when she delivers, but when twins were found in her womb, that is when the flesh of Yitschaq and Rivqah were united in the flesh of the twins found in her womb.

Hence, fulfilled is male means not only to fill with life, but to fulfill in the bringing of life in the union of wedlock which is the realization of the fractal of ELOHIYM.

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:17-18

Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah, till all be fulfilled.

Consider the Greek replacement used for the Hebrew male at this point, namely πληροω pleroo (Strong’s G4137) which means in its common usage to make replete, i.e. (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction).

Not one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah:

  • Till all be made replete;
  • Till all is leveled up;
  • Till is all is furnished;
  • Till all is satisfied;
  • Till all is executed;
  • Till all is finished; and
  • Till all is verified.

However, when the Hebrew root is applied, then the statement of MASHIACH is that not one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah until the offspring of wedding of the lamb is conceived!

Let’s take a look a Sha’ul’s use of the word fulfilled:

Romayim (Romans) 11:25-36

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Yisra’el, until the fulness of the other people come in. 26 And so all Yisra’el shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Tsiyon the Deliverer, and shall turn away wickedness from Ya`aqov: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the Besorah, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of ELOHIYM are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed ELOHIYM, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For ELOHIYM has concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of ELOHIYM! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who has known the mind of את (eth)-YAHUAH? or who has been his counseller? 35 Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

The word Sha’ul uses for fullness is 4138. πληρωμα pleroma, which is from the root πληροω pleroo, which is interpreted as fulfilled. Pleroma then is described as meaning repletion or completion, i.e. (subjectively) what fills (as contents, supplement, copiousness, multitude), or (objectively) what is filled (as container, performance, period):—which is put in to fill up, piece that filled up, fulfilling, full, fulness.

So the passage tells us that blindness has happened – and continues to happen – to Yisra’el until all of the life intended by YAH is saved.  So Sha’ul iterates the discussion of MASHIACH, saying that not one jot or tilled of the Torah shall pass until all of the life intended by YAH is achieved.

Take a look at this passage from above:

Romayim (Romans) 11:28-29

As concerning the Besorah, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of ELOHIYM are without repentance.

Who is made enemies concerning the Good News (the Besorah)?  Is it not the domestic olive branch spoken of earlier in the chapter?  But read carefully what Sha’ul says next – but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father’s sake.  Do not cast the Yahudiym into She’ol on the basis of your opinion, but recognize that as to touching the election – that is to say what was proclaimed by the whole of the house of Yisra’el saying go you near, and hear all that YAHUAH ELOHAYNU shall say: and speak you unto us all that the YAHUAH ELOHAYNU shall speak unto you; and we will hear it, and do it (Devariym 5:27), they are beloved for the father’s sake.

What does Sha’ul mean when he says that the gifts and the calling of ELOHIYM are without repentance?  Is he not saying that the calling of ELOHIYM – the call to follow the torah, is something from which there shall be no repentance, i.e., turning back.  The torah, my friends, is here to stay until the mystery of all creation is revealed.
