Mishlei (Proverbs) 25:25
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
מַיִם קָרִים עַל־נֶפֶשׁ עֲיֵפָה וּשְׁמוּעָה טוֹבָה מֵאֶרֶץ מֶרְחָק
Mayim qariym al-nephesh ah’yafe v’shemuah tovah m’erets merachaq.
Tasloniqiym Ri’shon (1 Thessalonians) 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that YAHUSHA died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in YAHUSHA will YAHUAH bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the Word of YAHUAH, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of YAHUAH shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For YAH himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the shofar of YAHUAH: and the dead in MASHIACH shall rise first:+ 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up [ἁρπάζω harpázō] together with them in the clouds, to meet YAH in the air: and so shall we ever be with YAHUAH. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
+Baruk Sheniy (2 Baruch) 50:2
With this verse and the verse that follows, both emanating from Pa’al, the rapture is proposed in the modern epoch. However, what was predicted is in fact the resurrection, not the rapture.
Qorintiym Ri’shon (1 Corinthians) 15:51-53
Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,* 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the shofar shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,+ and we shall be changed.* 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
*Chanoch (Enoch) 50:1
+Baruk Sheniy (2 Baruch) 50:2
Now, some have taught that the rapture is something where the people who sit in church are suddenly taken up to heaven before the tribulation begins, and are able to sit it out on the mezzanine looking down at those fools who were “left behind.”
However, there are other witnesses besides the commentators on Pa’al who give us a slightly different view of what will happen . . . and when:
Chanoch (Enoch) 50:1-4
IN those days the qodeshiym and the chosen shall undergo a change. The light of day shall rest upon them; and the splendour and glory of the qodeshiym shall be changed. 2 In the day of trouble evil shall be heaped up upon sinners; but the righteous shall triumph in the name of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH. 3 Others shall be made to see, that they must repent, and forsake the works of their hands; and that glory awaits them not in the presence of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH; yet that by his name they may be saved. YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH will have compassion on them; for great is his mercy; and righteousness is in his judgment, and in the presence of his glory; nor in his judgment shall iniquity stand. He who repents not before him shall perish.
4 Henceforward I will not have mercy on them, says YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.
Pa’al’s testimony appears to be derived directly from the language of Chanoch (Enoch) 50. But there is an additional witness to the claim that the dead shall rise first:
Baruk Sheniy (2 Baruch) 50:1-4
AND he answered and said unto me: Hear Baruk this word, and write in the remembrance of your heart all that you shall learn. 2 For the earth shall then assuredly restore the dead, which it now receives, in order to preserve them. It shall make no change in their form, but as it has received so shall it restore them, and as I delivered them unto it, so also shall it raise them. 3 For then it will be necessary to show to the living that the dead have come to life again, and that those who had departed have returned again.
4 And it shall come to pass when they have severally recognized those whom they now know, then judgment shall grow strong, and those things which before were spoken of shall come.
Baruk Sheniy (2 Baruch) 51:1-16
AND it shall come to pass, when that appointed day has gone by that then shall the aspect of those who are condemned be afterwards changed, and the glory of those who are justified. 2 For the aspect of those who now act wickedly shall become worse than it is, as they shall suffer torment. 3 Also as for the glory of those who have now been justified in my Torah, who have had understanding in their life, and who have planted in their heart the root of wisdom, then their splendour shall be glorified in changes, and the form of their face shall be turned into the light of their beauty, that they may be able to acquire and receive the world which does not die, which is then promised to them. 4 For over this above all shall those who come then lament that they rejected my Torah and stopped their ears# that they might not hear wisdom or receive understanding. 5 When therefore they see those, over whom they are now exalted, but who shall then be exalted and glorified more than they, they shall respectively be transformed the latter into the splendour of angels, and the former shall yet more waste away in wonder at the visions and in the beholding of the forms. 6 For they shall first behold and afterwards depart to be tormented.
7 But those who have been saved by their works and to whom the Torah has been now a hope and understanding an expectation and wisdom a confidence shall wonders appear in their time. 8 For they shall behold the world which is now invisible to them and they shall behold the time which is now hidden from them: 9 And time shall no longer age them. 10 For in the heights of that world shall they dwell and they shall be made like unto the angels and be made equal to the stars, and they shall be changed+ into every form they desire, from beauty into loveliness, and from light into the splendour of glory. 11 For there shall be spread before them the extents of Paradise, and there shall be shown to them the beauty of the majesty of the living creatures which are beneath the throne and all the armies of the angels who are now held fast by my word, lest they should appear, and are held fast by a command, that they may stand in their places till their advent comes.
12 Moreover, there shall then be excellency in the righteous surpassing that in the angels. 13 For the first shall receive the last, those whom they were expecting, and the last those of whom they used to hear that they had passed away. 14 For they have been delivered from this world of tribulation and laid down the burden of anguish. 15 For what then have men lost their life and for what have those who were on the earth exchanged their soul? 16 For then they chose not for themselves this time which beyond the reach of anguish could not pass away: but they chose for themselves that time whose issues are full of lamentations and evils; and they denied the world which ages not those who come to it; and they rejected the time of glory so that they shall not come to the honour of which I told you before.
#Mishlei (Proverbs) 28:9
He that turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer shall be abomination.
+Qorintiym Ri’shon (1 Corinthians) 15:51-53
So, when is the appointed time?
Chizayon (Revelation) 19:1-14
AND after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, HALLELUYAH; Yeshu`ah, and glory, and honour, and power, unto YAHUAH ELOHAYNU: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said, HALLELUYAH. And her smoke rose up forever and ever. 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped YAH that sat on the throne, saying, Amein; HALLELUYAH.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our YAH, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, HALLELUYAH: for YAHUAH ELOHIYM TSEVA’OTH reigns. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his woman has made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous-ness of the qodeshiym. 9 And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true words of YAHUAH. 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of YAHUSHA: worship YAH: for the testimony of YAHUSHA is the RUACH NEVU`AH.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of YAHUAH. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And at the same time:
Chanoch (Enoch) 48:2-11
In that hour was this Son of A’dam invoked before YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH, and his name in the presence of the Ancient of Days. 3 Before the sun and the signs were created, before the stars of heaven were formed, his name was invoked in the presence of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH. A support shall he be and he shall be the light of nations. 4 He shall be the hope of those whose hearts are troubled. All, who dwell on earth, shall fall down and worship before him; shall bless and glorify him, and sing praises to the name of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.
5 Therefore the Elect and the Concealed One existed in his presence, before the world was created, and forever. 6 In his presence he existed, and has revealed to the qodeshiym and to the righteous the wisdom of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH; for he has preserved the lot of the righteous, because they have hated and rejected this world of iniquity, and have detested all its works and ways, in the name of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.
7 For in his name shall they be preserved; and his will shall be their life. In those days shall the kings of the earth and the mighty men, who have gained the world by their achievements, become humble in countenance. 8 For in the day of their anxiety and trouble their souls shall not be saved; and they shall be in subjection to those whom I have chosen. 9 I will cast them like hay into the fire, and like lead into the water. Thus shall they burn in the presence of the righteous, and sink in the presence of the holy; nor shall a tenth part of them be found. 10 But in the day of their trouble, the world shall obtain tranquility. 11 In his presence shall they fall, and not be raised up again; nor shall there be anyone to take them out of his hands, and to lift them up: for they have denied YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH, and his MASHIACH. The name of YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH shall be blessed.
