There is an interesting progenitor prayer which appears in the works of Ezra in his second witness to the cepheriym melekiym (the Books of the Kings). In the last chapter of 1 Chronicles, or as we refer to it, Divrei Hayamiym Rishon, the prayer of David is found. This is an interesting prayer, as you will see, because of its precursory nature to what we would later be given by MASHIACH in a simple instruction as to how to pray. Let’s take a look:
Divrei Hayamiym Rishon (1 Chronicles) 29:10-13
Wherefore David blessed את eth-YAHUAH before all the assembly: and David said, Blessed be you, YAHUAH ELOHIYM of Yisra’el our Father, forever and ever. 11 Yours, O YAHUAH, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O YAHUAH, and you are exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honour come of you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13 Now therefore, our ELOHIYM, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.
David blessed eth YAHUAH before all the congregation (kehilah): and David said, Blessed (Baruch) be you (atah), YAHUAH ELOHAI Yisra’el our father (avinu), for (ma’olam) ever and ever (v’olam). 11 Yours (Lan), YAHUAH, is the greatness (ha’gedulah), and the power (v’ha’gevurah), and the glory (v’ha’tiferah), and the victory (v’ha’netzach), and the majesty (v’ha’hod): for all that is in the (kee kole) heaven (b’shamayim) and in the earth (v’b’ha’aretz) is thine (lan); YAHUAH thine is the kingdom (ha’ma’memlacha), YAHUAH, and you are exalted (v’ha’mithnasse) as head (la’kole) above all (la’rosh). 12 Both riches (v’ha’osher) and honour (v’ha’kavod) come of you (ma’la’paniym), and you (v’atah) reign (mashal) over all; and in your hand (yod) is power (koach) and might (v’gevurah); and in your hand (v’b’yod’cha) it is to make great (la’gadul), and to give strength (v’la’kazach) unto all (la’kole). 13 Now therefore (v’atah), our God (Elohaynu), we (anachnu) thank (modeyim) you, and praise (v’ma’halaliym) your glorious (tiferah’cha) name (la’shem).
Let’s take these phrases a bit at a time. David begins his prayer like this:
Baruch atah YAHUAH ELOHAI Yisra’el avinu, ma’olam v’olam.

V’ha’osher v’ha’kavod ma’la’paniym v’atah mashal ha’kole; yod koach v’gevurah; v’b’yod’cha la’gadul, v’la’kazach la’kole.
Finally, he closes like this:
Elohaynu, anachnu modeyim v’ma’halaliym tiferah’cha la’shem.
